India's longest range missile successfully fired
India's longest range missile test fired successfully from the kalam Island, Oddisha coast by Defence Research and Development Organistaion (DRDO). Agni -V is part of the Agni series of Missile. As a missile it described its range as a 5,500 - 5,800km. which can carry about 1000 kg warhead. But Chinese reports claims that this missile is range about 8000 km that which is huge.

Agni-V will add tremendous strength to Indian Defence as PM Modi said while congratulating the whole team.
While this range missile targets whole Asia including the neighbouring countries Paksitan and China.
Agni-V weighs about 50 tonnes and it is very agile and a modern weapon system. This missile is a fire and forget system that cannot be detected easily as it follows a ballisitic trajectory.
This is the fifth missile in the Agni series in that Agni-I has a 700 km range, Agni-II has a 2000 km range, Agni - III and Agni - IV having a 2500 to more than 3500 km range.
By this success Agni-V will soon join India's military Arsenal
